Campaign TAKE6

About the Watch
Campaign TAKE6
encouraged and guided participants through four phases in 2010 referred to as a "Watch."

What is a Watch?

A Watch is about vigilance and looking out for one another as in a Neighborhood Watch. There were four Watches—each with its own theme. Every six weeks, the Watch changed and information pertaining to that particular period was posted on the TAKE6 Blog. Based on the concept of the Watch, groups were highly encouraged to participate, e.g. church singles, college students, book clubs, girlfriends, etc.

The Watch Schedule (January - June 2010)

1st Watch: January 1—February 14
Theme: Challenging Your Thoughts
Synopsis: For many of us, life is so busy we hardly have time to commune with our own thoughts. When is the last time you spent time with your self and really pondered your thoughts? Who are you?

2nd Watch: February 15—March 28
Theme: Love, Acceptance, and Forgiveness
Synopsis: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres (see 1 Corinthians 13:4-7). Do you believe this? We'll find out.

3rd Watch: March 29—May 16
Theme: Sexual Behavior
Synopsis: Let's keep the truth meter in the red with this topic. Only you know what you've done and how it compares to what you want for yourself. It's said that men give love to get sex...and women give sex to get love. Can you identify with this?

4th Watch: May 17—June 30
Theme: Spirituality
Synopsis: This is the final Watch for a reason (and my favorite). Everything we learn and uncover in the previous months will prepare our hearts and minds to receive the blessings that lay in wait in this Watch. Who is your creator? If you think it is your birth parents, think again.
